1988 Volkswagen Transporter Camper | Osleston and Thurvaston, Derbyshire

A 1988 Volkswagen Transporter Camper, from the squarer-bodied generation of VW's camper vans. The Transporter camper is known for turning a practical van into a holiday on wheels, and conversions of the type often carried fold-flat beds, storage and a table. This one is orange with a cream interior, a warm pairing that stands out against green countryside or a grey street. It has a 1.6-litre diesel engine and seats four. The tall, upright body gives a clear, friendly shape in front of a lens. Its bright colour and boxy profile suit advertising, photography and fashion shoots, where the van can anchor a scene, and its holiday character works for music videos and events. Weddings and personal hires are a good fit too. The van is based in Derby, Derbyshire.
