1973 Volkswagen Camper T2 Bay | Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire

A 1973 Volkswagen Camper T2 Bay, the second-generation Type 2 known as the Bay Window for its curved one-piece windscreen. It is liked for its rounded body, generous glass and rear-mounted air-cooled engine, and it is tied in many minds to the counterculture travel of the 1960s and 1970s. This van is orange with a blue interior, a warm pairing that stands out against greenery, brick or seafront. It seats five, and the camper body with its broad glass area gives a good view in and out for interior shots. Photography, advertising and fashion and editorial shoots suit it for that colour and period shape. Film, TV and music video work set in the 1960s or 1970s gets a van that belongs there, and events can use it as a friendly backdrop. It also makes a cheerful wedding or birthday car. The van is based in London, Buckinghamshire.
