1990 Volkswagen Golf | Telham, East Sussex

A 1990 Volkswagen Golf Mk2, the second-generation hatchback that grew a little longer and rounder than the original Golf. It was named What Car? Car of the Year for 1985 and is liked for its tidy, practical shape and easy everyday manners. This car is black with a black interior, a plain, dark combination that lets the squared-off 1980s lines read clearly in shot. The upright glass and compact body are easy to frame from any angle, and the paintwork gives reflections a clean, uncluttered surface. That period-correct look suits film and TV work set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and photography, music video and fashion or editorial shoots that want a believable street setting. Black bodywork gives advertising and events a sharp, understated backdrop. A wedding or birthday also gets a quiet 1980s arrival. The car is based in Telham, East Sussex.
