1994 Volkswagen Corrado | Rushden, Northamptonshire

The Volkswagen Corrado is a Golf-based 2+2 coupé with a liftback and a rear spoiler that rises by itself as speed builds. It is known for its sharp-edged early-1990s lines and for front-wheel-drive handling that the motoring press rated highly. This 1994 car is black with a black interior, in very good condition. The low wedge shape carries a deep, glossy finish, and the dark cabin keeps the look consistent from every angle. It seats four, and the spirited engine gives it a direct, mechanical feel on the move. On a film or television set it suits 1990s stories, since the coupé shape and the rising spoiler place it in the decade at a glance. Fashion photography and music videos gain from the black-on-black scheme, which holds up under hard light and low-key moods. Events and weddings are open to it too, for a sleek, understated arrival. The car is based in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
