1970 Volkswagen Campervan T2 | Norwich, Norfolk

A 1970 Volkswagen T2 campervan, the Bay Window generation of the Type 2, named for its curved one-piece windscreen. It is known for its rounded, friendly shape and its link with the counterculture of the late 1960s and 1970s, when brightly painted vans carried groups to festivals. This one is finished in Cream with a brown interior, a soft, warm pairing that sits well against period sets and in daylight. It seats five. It is left-hand drive, so the driver sits on the kerb side and the front passenger steps out on the road side, which also gives it a continental look. The broad glass area and rounded body give photographers and stylists clean lines to frame, and suit advertising, fashion and editorial shoots and events. The period shape fits 1960s and 1970s film, TV and music video settings. It also works for a wedding or a personal hire. The van is based in Norwich, Norfolk.
