1966 Volkswagen Beetle | Haslingden, Lancashire

A 1966 Volkswagen Beetle, the rounded, rear-engined small car with an air-cooled engine behind the rear axle. Many people know the model as Herbie from The Love Bug. The windows were enlarged in 1965, so a Beetle of this year has a lighter, more open cabin. This car is finished in Cream with a black interior, a soft pairing that sits well against both colourful and muted backdrops. The smooth curved body and generous glass give a camera plenty to work with, inside and out. It seats four. The period shape suits 1960s film and television work, music videos and fashion or editorial shoots, where the cream paintwork and round lines hold the frame. Photographers and event teams get a friendly car for set dressing and arrivals. It also makes a charming wedding or personal hire. The car is based in Haslingden, Lancashire.
