1972 Volkswagen Beatle 1303 | Bagillt, Flintshire

The Volkswagen Beetle is the rounded, rear-engined small car with an air-cooled flat-four, loved for its friendly shape and simple character. The 1303 comes from the later Super Beetle range of the early 1970s, when the car had grown in engine size and in the boot up front. It still reads at once as a Beetle. This 1972 car is Blue outside and blue inside, so body and cabin match in a single colour. It has a 1600cc engine and seats four, and its condition is very good. The smooth, uncluttered curves give a stylist or director a clear mid-century outline to frame. That shape and colour suit advertising, photography and fashion shoots, and it sits naturally in 1960s or 1970s film, TV and music video sets. Weddings and personal hires get a cheerful, friendly car. It is based in Bagillt, Flintshire.
