1982 Lotus Turbo Esprit | Southrepps, Norfolk

A 1982 Lotus Turbo Esprit, the mid-engined British wedge known for pairing a turbocharged 2.2-litre four-cylinder with a low, compact shape. Turbo Esprits appeared in the 1981 Bond film For Your Eyes Only, an association that still follows the model. This car is silver with a red interior, a clean contrast when the doors are open and the camera moves in close. The wedge profile, with its side cooling ducts and louvred rear hatch, reads clearly from every angle. It has two seats, set low in the cabin. The low nose and sharp 1980s lines suit advertising, music video, and fashion and editorial photography. Silver gives period-set film and TV work a body shape that carries the frame, and at an event the car works as a centrepiece. It also makes a striking arrival for a wedding or a birthday. The car is based in Norwich, Norfolk.
