2004 Lotus Elise | Manchester, Cheshire

A 2004 Lotus Elise, the compact two-seat roadster known and liked for its light weight and direct, responsive handling. It has a bonded aluminium chassis under a fibreglass body, with the engine mounted behind the seats. This car is finished in silver with a black interior, a restrained pairing that lets the shape do the work in front of a lens. Its 1.8-litre engine sits in the middle, which gives the Elise a low, short body and plenty of room in shot for the location behind it. That low stance suits automotive photography, advertising and music video work, where the proportions read clearly. Fashion and editorial stylists can use the silver and black as a neutral backdrop for clothes. It also makes a distinctive choice for a wedding or birthday outing. The car is based in Manchester, Cheshire.
