A 1974 Lotus Elan +2S, the longer, wider coupé developed from the Elan, with a steel backbone chassis and a fibreglass body. Its original brief was for two adults and two children to cover 1,000 miles with luggage in comfort. The +2S added a more luxurious finish to the model. This car is black with a beige interior, a pairing that gives a clean, classic look in front of a camera. Its 1,558cc engine drives the rear wheels, and small rear seats take it to four in total. The low coupé body keeps its profile clear against any backdrop. Photography, fashion and editorial work suit the black paintwork and long, sleek lines. Music video and 1970s-set film and TV productions get a period coupé with room for a second pair of cast. At events it works as a static centrepiece. Weddings and personal hires are a good fit too.
