1997 Ford Transit Autosleeper Campervan | Coventry, Warwickshire

A Ford Transit van converted for camping by Auto-Sleepers, the English motorhome maker. The Transit arrived in 1965, and its broad, practical body made a sound base for campers like this one. This example is Purple outside and Purple inside, so one colour runs from the paintwork through the cabin. It has a 2500cc engine, seats two and is in good condition. The shade and the van shape place it clearly in the late 1990s. For 1990s-set film and TV, music videos, photography and fashion or editorial work, the unbroken purple gives a strong colour in frame and a period look. At events it makes a bold centrepiece. Weddings with a bohemian theme and romantic getaways suit it too. It is based in Coventry.
