1962 Austin Healey 3000 | Chichester, West Sussex

A 1962 Austin Healey 3000, the muscular British sports car with a long bonnet, a front-mounted straight-six and rear-wheel drive. The model is known for its strong pull and for its place in the major races and rallies of its day. This car is red with a red interior, in excellent condition. It runs triple carburettors and has a centre-change gearbox with overdrive, which lowers engine revs at speed. When new, it served as a showpiece at the Longbridge factory, a detail that gives any shoot or event a story to tell. The two-seat body keeps the cabin open to the camera. Its long bonnet and low, open lines suit 1960s-set film and TV and music videos. The red paint over red trim gives photography, fashion and advertising work a single strong block of colour, and events gain an arrival with period presence. Weddings and personal hires suit it too. The car is based in Chichester, West Sussex.
