1989 Volvo 740 | Amersham, Buckinghamshire

A Volvo 740 from the Swedish maker's 700 series, known for its upright, squared-off lines, broad glass and calm, sensible manner. It is rear-wheel drive, and the 1989 model year brought smaller composite headlamps and revised tail lamps. This car has a 2.0-litre engine. This car is black with a black interior, a sober, formal pairing that suits the straight-edged bodywork. It seats four, and the large windows keep the cabin light and open for interior shots. Its clean, boxy profile sets a late-1980s or early-1990s scene quickly, which suits period film and TV, advertising and photography. Fashion and editorial shoots can use the plain black bodywork as a quiet backdrop, and its formal look gives events a smart arrival car. For a wedding or personal hire, it offers an understated arrival. The car is based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
