1970 Volkswagen T2 Bay Camper | Marden, Kent

A 1970 Volkswagen T2 Bay Camper, the second-generation Type 2, named for its curved, single-piece windscreen. It is known for its rounded body, large glass area and rear-mounted air-cooled engine, and for its link with the counterculture of the late 1960s and 1970s. This van is green outside and green inside, a matched scheme that reads as one clean block of colour on camera. It is a camper and seats four. The broad glass keeps the cabin bright and gives a photographer plenty of angles, both inside and out. Its period shape suits advertising, photography and fashion shoots, and film, TV and music video work set in the 1960s and 1970s. At events it gives a relaxed, festival-minded backdrop. Weddings and personal hires are welcome too. The van is based in Canterbury, Kent.
