1981 Volkswagen Passat | Plymouth, Devon

The Volkswagen Passat is a German family car whose name means "trade winds". It has long been liked for roomy, comfortable long-distance travel, and its early cars shared their engineering with Audi models. This 1981 car is silver with a blue interior, a calm, restrained pairing that reads clearly as the early 1980s. It has a 1.9-litre petrol engine. The look is that of an ordinary family car of its day, which gives a set or shoot a believable, lived-in feel. That suits 1980s-set film and TV, advertising and editorial work that needs everyday period transport. The silver paint sits quietly against most locations in photography and music video, and the car works as discreet event transport. A wedding or personal hire is a simple fit too. The car is based in Plymouth, Devon.
