1975 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Cabriolet | Chichester, West Sussex

A 1975 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Cabriolet, the four-seat open-top Beetle built by Karmann with a lined folding fabric roof. It keeps the rounded body and rear-mounted, air-cooled engine of the saloon, and the Cabriolet changes that familiar silhouette once the roof is down. This car is finished in red with a black interior, and it is in excellent condition. Its 1600cc engine gives the soft air-cooled note Beetle people know, and the open cabin seats four. It is left-hand drive: the driver sits on the kerb side, so the front passenger steps out into the road, and the car adds a continental look to a scene. With the roof down, the rounded body and the red against a black interior give photographers and fashion and editorial teams a strong colour and a clear view of the people inside. Film, TV and music video productions set in the 1970s get a period open-top Beetle, and events can use it as a bright arrival car. Weddings and personal hires suit it too. It is based in Chichester, West Sussex.
