1962 Volkswagen Beetle | Great Bookham and Fetcham, Surrey

A 1962 Volkswagen Beetle, the rounded, rear-engined small car of 1960s popular culture. This car is a replica of Disney's Herbie from The Love Bug, Herbie Rides Again, Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo and Herbie Goes Bananas. It is white with a white interior, in excellent condition. The 53 and the red, white and blue stripes were made from an original film car, which also guided their placement, and the stripes carry over the grey vinyl sunroof in matched paint. Wide-rim racing wheels are fitted, with the standard VW set ready to swap in. It is left-hand drive: the driver sits on the kerb side and the front passenger steps out into the road. Film and television, music video and advertising work gets a car audiences already know, while a white body reads clearly for photography and events. California number plates in the film style can be fitted for shoots. It has been shown indoors at the VolksWorld Show and has won awards at air-cooled VW shows. Weddings and personal hires suit it too. It is based in Great Bookham and Fetcham, Surrey.
