2016 Vauxhall Vivaro | Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham

The Vauxhall Vivaro is a medium van that helped establish Vauxhall as a commercial-vehicle maker in its own right, and it became a leading British rival to the Ford Transit. It is known for practical load capacity and a range of body styles, from panel vans to crew versions. This 2016 example is black outside and black inside, a plain, understated look that keeps it in the background of a shot. It seats six, which gives a whole team room to travel together, and it is powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine. The uniform dark finish suits a support vehicle that should not compete with the cars or people in frame. On film, TV, advertising and photography jobs, the six seats move crew, talent or a styling team between locations in one vehicle. At events, a dark van with a roomy cabin works quietly behind the scenes. It also suits a wedding party or a group day out. The van is based in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham.
