1999 Vauxhall Corsa | Stevenage, Hertfordshire

The Vauxhall Corsa is the small hatchback that became a fixture of British streets after arriving here in 1993. Club is one of the trim levels it was sold in. It is known as a compact, easy-going supermini. This 1999 car is red with a grey interior and is in fair condition, so it reads as an everyday car rather than a showroom piece. It has a 1.2-litre petrol engine and an automatic gearbox, which keeps town driving relaxed. It seats four. For film and TV, it gives a late-1990s setting a believable ordinary car, and the plain hatchback shape sits easily in street scenes and adverts. Photography, music video and editorial work get a bold red body against everyday backdrops, and its small footprint fits tight locations. A modest wedding arrival or a personal hire suits it too. The car is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
