1995 Vauxhall Cavalier LS Saloon | Birmingham, West Midlands

The Vauxhall Cavalier was a fixture of British company car parks, and the third-generation saloon won What Car? Family Car of the Year in 1989 and 1990. It replaced its predecessor's angular lines with a rounded, flush-glazed body and a ride praised for comfort and stability. The 1995 cars were among the last before the Vectra took over. This car is an LS in white with a black interior, a clean, plain combination that reads at once as everyday 1990s motoring. It has a 1.6-litre petrol engine. The car is not road legal, so it is hired for static use and travels by trailer. That suits period street scenes and background traffic in film and TV set in 1990s Britain, and advertising or photography that needs a familiar saloon of the decade. Its four-door shape and plain white paintwork also work well for events and displays about everyday motoring. Weddings and personal hires can use its understated look too. The car is based in Birmingham, West Midlands.
