About this vehicle
1921 Vauxhall 30/98 | Hertford, Hertfordshire
The Vauxhall 30/98 was a Luton-built sporting tourer, made from 1913 to 1927 and liked for fast, open-air touring. Joseph Higginson won the 1913 Shelsley Walsh hill-climb in the first one and set a course record. This car is an original Velox Tourer in silver with a maroon interior, a restrained pairing set off by the long, low-sided open body. It is in excellent condition and seats four. It also has a competition past in Australia, across the 1940s and 1950s, which suits a model with sporting roots. The open coachwork and upright period stance suit photography, heritage displays and period film and TV scenes, because the occupants stay in clear view. Silver against maroon gives advertising and fashion shoots a calm palette. It also makes a handsome wedding or personal hire. The car is based in Hertford, Hertfordshire.
