About this vehicle
1937 Morris Eight | Woking, Surrey
A 1937 Morris Eight, the small family car Morris introduced in 1935 to rival the Ford Model Y. It became the most popular British car of the late 1930s and stayed in production until 1948. Its upright, rounded shape reads clearly as period. This car is black, with a glossy finish that picks out the chrome trim and the curve of the wings. Inside, brown upholstery gives a warm contrast, and there is room for five. It is in very good condition, so it looks tidy at close quarters. Film and TV productions set in the 1940s can use the upright body with little dressing, and period advertising and photography draw on the same lines. For fashion and editorial work, the black bodywork gives clothes a plain, reflective backdrop. At events it makes a composed period arrival, and it suits weddings and personal hires too. The car is based in Woking, Surrey.
