About this vehicle
1938 Morris Eight | Chippenham, Wiltshire
A 1938 Morris Eight, the small family car Morris built in answer to the Ford Model Y. It sold well enough to help the company regain its place as Britain's largest car maker. Owners formed the Morris 8 Tourer Club in 1960, and it grew into today's Morris Register. This car is blue with a blue interior, a single colour family that sits quietly against stone walls or green hedgerows. Its compact pre-war body leaves plenty of room in shot for the setting around it, and it seats four. Film and television productions can use it to set a modest late-1930s British scene. Heritage photography, fashion and editorial shoots and vintage-styled advertising gain period lines and a colour that stays calm in frame, while events get a pre-war arrival. It also suits a vintage wedding or a personal hire. The car is based in Bath, Wiltshire.
