1999 Mitsubishi Colt GLX Mirage | Wellesbourne, Warwickshire

A 1999 Mitsubishi Colt GLX Mirage, from the family of small Japanese hatchbacks that Mitsubishi sold as the Colt in many export markets from 1978. GLX is a trim name used across Mirage and Colt models, and the family is known for compact, practical everyday motoring. This car is finished in pearl green, with a grey interior that seats four. It is in excellent condition, and its 1597cc petrol engine and clean, plain lines give it the look of an ordinary late-1990s hatchback, first registered in November 1999. The pearl paint picks up the light well, so the colour reads clearly in photographs. That everyday character suits film and TV productions recreating the Y2K years, and commercials that need a believable period car. Its soft green gives fashion shoots and music videos an offbeat, understated backdrop. Weddings and themed events also work well, with a small, characterful car. It is based in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire.
