1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK | Pitstone, Buckinghamshire

A 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK, the compact roadster that brought a folding steel hardtop to a small Mercedes. A button on the centre console lifts the roof away into the rear deck, so one car gives both a coupe look and an open-top one. It is liked for its short, neat proportions and solid build. This SLK is deep blue with a black interior, in excellent condition. A supercharged 2.3-litre engine sits under the bonnet, and the cabin is arranged around the driver. The compact, curved body leaves plenty of room in shot for the location behind it. For film and TV, it gives a late-1990s look that sits naturally in settings around the year 2000. Fashion, editorial and photography work gets a rich blue that reads well in a studio and outdoors, while music videos, advertising and events can use the roof change as part of the scene. A wedding or birthday outing is just as well served. The car is based in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire.
