About this vehicle
1959 Jaguar XK 150 | Swansea
The Jaguar XK 150 was the last of the original XK sports cars, built until the E-Type replaced it in 1961. It is known for its straight-six engine, a broad bonnet and a one-piece windscreen that gave the line a smoother face than the XK 140 before it. This car is black with a red leather interior, a contrast that reads clearly in close-up and on a wide frame. Its 3400cc engine is paired with an automatic gearbox, where the model usually had a manual, so the driving is relaxed and easy. Condition is excellent, the chrome brightwork catches the light, and the cabin seats two. The long bonnet and curved wings suit film and television work set in the 1950s. Black paintwork against red leather gives photographers, fashion and editorial teams a clear colour story, and advertising and music video crews get a period shape with presence. Weddings and personal days out suit it too. The car is based in Swansea.
