About this vehicle
1951 Jaguar Mk4 | Woking, Surrey
A 1951 Jaguar Mk4, a post-war British saloon with formal, upright lines carried over from the SS Jaguar range. Mk4 is the name later given to the 1½, 2½ and 3½ Litre cars Jaguar sold after the war. Its tall chrome grille and long, sweeping wings give it a dignified presence. This car is finished in Cream with a red leather interior and polished wood trim. Large P100-style headlamps sit either side of the grille. Its 3000cc engine is paired with a sequential gearbox, which is unusual in a car of this age and gives the drive its own character. Condition is very good. The pale paintwork and period shape suit 1940s and 1950s film and TV, and fashion and editorial shoots, where the red leather adds colour in close shots. The formal grille and flowing wings give advertising work and event arrivals a smart, traditional look. Weddings and personal hires suit it too. The car is based in Woking, Surrey.
