About this vehicle
1966 Jaguar 420 | Solihull, West Midlands
The Jaguar 420 is a compact sporting saloon, built on the S-Type body but given a squarer nose with four headlamps in the manner of the larger Mark X. It is known for brisk performance and a well-appointed cabin, and its 4.2-litre six gave it pace to match its comfort. This car is green outside and in, and it is in excellent condition. Chrome frames the quad-lamp nose, and the cabin has wood veneer and Smiths gauges. It seats four. It has also been on screen already, in The Krays. Its upright, formal shape suits 1960s film and TV, and green paint against bright chrome gives advertising, fashion and editorial photography a strong period backdrop. Music videos and event arrivals get the same look, and the veneer and dials reward a close lens. Weddings and personal hires suit it too. The car is based in Solihull, West Midlands.
