About this vehicle
1965 Honda C110 sports cub | Brentwood, Essex
The Honda C110 Sports Cub is the sportier relative of the C100 Super Cub, introduced in October 1960. Where the Super Cub has a step-through frame, the C110 has a straddled riding position and a fuel tank mounted above the frame spine, ahead of the seat. Its small air-cooled four-stroke single was rated at 5 bhp. This 1965 example is red with black, a clean two-colour scheme that reads clearly against brick, pavement or a white studio sweep. The tank-above-frame silhouette gives it the stance of a small sports motorcycle of its day. Its compact size leaves plenty of room in shot for the setting around it. The early-1960s design suits period film and television scenes, music videos and fashion or editorial shoots, where a neat little motorcycle can sit beside a model or a doorway. At events it makes an easy display piece to place and photograph. Weddings and personal hires can use it for a little retro character. It is based in London, Essex.
