1978 Ford Cortina | Crawley, West Sussex

The Ford Cortina was a family car of 1970s Britain, offered in trim levels from base to Ghia. Its 2.3-litre V6 arrived with the Mk4 in 1976 and was known for being smooth and refined. This car is orange with a black interior, a strong pairing against brick, concrete or a plain studio wall. It is in excellent condition and has an automatic gearbox, which keeps it simple to reposition between takes. There are four seats. The period lines and bold colour suit 1970s-set film and TV, advertising, music videos and fashion or editorial shoots, where an orange car holds the frame without help. At events it gives guests a familiar everyday car from the decade to gather around. For weddings and personal hires it makes a warm, characterful arrival. The car is based in Crawley, West Sussex.
