About this vehicle
1969 Ford Cortina 1600E | Sunderland, County Durham
A 1969 Ford Cortina 1600E, the smartest and sportiest Mk2 Cortina Ford offered. It combined the 1600GT engine with lowered Lotus Cortina suspension and a walnut-trimmed cabin, bringing a touch of executive polish to the family saloon. The Mk2 became Britain's best-selling new car in 1967. This car is in Gold with a black interior, and burr walnut runs across the dashboard and the tops of the doors. Rostyle wheels and a lowered stance add to the sporting look. It is in excellent condition and seats four. Gold paint catches studio lights and daylight alike, and the walnut cabin gives period detail for 1960s-set film and television, photography and fashion shoots. Advertising and music video crews get a late-sixties saloon whose lowered stance leaves the location visible in shot. For a wedding arrival or a personal occasion it brings vintage polish without the formality of a limousine. The car is based in Sunderland, County Durham.
