About this vehicle
1985 Citroën Dyane | Newbiggin, Cumbria
The Dyane is the angular French relative of the 2CV, known for its upright body, large rear hatch and simple, air-cooled flat-twin engine. It is liked for being small, practical and cheerful to look at. This one is a van in grey with a black interior, in excellent condition. It has had a full nut-and-bolt rebuild and registration, and the roof tent it once carried has been taken off, so it is back to its original form. It is left-hand drive: the driver sits on the kerb side and the front passenger steps out on the road side, which also gives it a continental look. It seats two. Its compact, plain-sided shape leaves room in shot for the location, which suits photography, fashion and editorial work, advertising and street scenes set in 1980s France. At events it is easy to place and eye-catching without being large. A wedding or personal hire works just as well. The van is based in Newbiggin, Cumbria.
