About this vehicle
1982 Citroën 2CV Charleston | Bognor Regis, West Sussex
The Citroën 2CV Charleston is the dressed-up 2CV6 of the 1980s, known for its rounded colour split, chrome details and roll-back fabric roof. Its air-cooled 602 cc flat-twin and soft, long-travel suspension give an unhurried, characterful ride. A Charleston was also the last 2CV built, in Portugal in 1990. This car is Yellow with a yellow interior, a bright combination that reads clearly on camera. It is in excellent condition. The fabric roof rolls back for an open-air feel, and the tall, upright body keeps the occupants easy to see in shot. Photography, fashion and editorial shoots and advertising make use of that colour and friendly shape. Period film and TV scenes set in late twentieth-century Europe gain a believable French small car, and events on French design have an obvious centrepiece. Weddings and birthday arrivals suit it too. The car is based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.
