A 1979 BMW 730 from the first generation of the 7 Series, BMW's large executive saloon. It was admired as the more technical, driver-minded choice in its class, and the 730 carries a 3.0-litre straight-six rated at 184 bhp. This car is called Frank. It has had a full restoration and a respray in Fjord blue, the colour it wore when new. Inside, the trim is blue velour with wood veneer, still in its original form, a warmer cabin than the dark interiors most BMWs of the period had. Condition is excellent. Its long, upright saloon shape and period colour suit 1970s and early 1980s film and TV work, and period advertising. The blue velour gives photography, fashion and editorial shoots a distinctive backdrop, while the roomy cabin leaves space to work inside.
