1989 BMW 325i | Chelmsford, Essex

A 1989 BMW 325i, from the E30 generation of the 3 Series. The E30 is liked for its compact rear-wheel-drive layout, tidy proportions and clean 1980s lines. The 325i adds a 2.5-litre six-cylinder engine to that formula. This car is finished in Blue with a Red interior, a pairing that reads clearly in photographs and on screen. It has four seats, so a small group can sit together in the same frame. The colour contrast also gives close-up interior shots plenty of warmth. Its upright, period styling suits 1980s-set film and TV scenes, advertising and fashion or editorial shoots that need a convincing decade. Music video and photography work gets a strong colour palette from the blue and red. It also makes a distinctive wedding or personal hire car. The car is based in Chelmsford, Essex.
