1974 BMW 520 | Southwater, West Sussex

A 1974 BMW 520 from the first generation of the 5 Series, the E12. This four-door saloon is known for its twin headlights, low waistline and broad glass, a restrained shape that defines 1970s executive motoring. This car is orange with a black interior, a strong 1970s pairing that reads clearly against town streets and open countryside. Its 2.0-litre engine drives through an automatic gearbox, which keeps slow rolling shots smooth. The large windows let plenty of light into the cabin and give a clear view of the interior. The formal profile and orange paint place a scene firmly in the 1970s, which suits period film and television, music videos and advertising. Photography and fashion shoots get clean side panels and a roomy back seat to work with. Weddings and personal hires are welcome too. The car is based in Southwater, West Sussex.
