1974 BMW 2002 | Berkshire

The BMW 2002 is a compact two-door saloon with rear-wheel drive, known for showing that a small, practical car could also be quick and enjoyable to drive. It helped establish BMW as a maker of affordable performance cars. This 1974 car is finished in orange with a black interior, a strong pairing that reads clearly on camera. It is in very good condition. The 2.0-litre engine sits under a short bonnet, and the upright, boxy body gives the car the proportions of an early-1970s European saloon. That period shape suits film and television scenes set in 1970s Europe, and photography, fashion and editorial shoots where the bold colour carries the frame. Advertising and music video work gain from its compact size, which leaves room around it in shot. It also makes a characterful wedding or personal-hire car. The car is based in Berkshire.
