1984 Austin Mini Mayfair | Bedford, Bedfordshire

A 1984 Austin Mini Mayfair, from the late years of the classic Mini. The model is known for its compact, rounded body, front-wheel drive and distinctive handling. By this period it had winding windows and concealed door hinges, which keep the sides of the body smooth. This car is green with a brown interior, a warm, earthy pairing that sits well against brick, stone or countryside. It is in very good condition. Its small footprint leaves plenty of room in shot for the location around it, and the rounded shape fixes a scene in Britain at once. That suits advertising, photography, fashion and editorial work, and 1980s-set film, TV and music video, where a small British car sets the era. A wedding arrival or a birthday outing also works well in a car this size. It is based in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
