1983 Porsche 944 | Chester, Cheshire

The Porsche 944 is a front-engined sports coupé with its gearbox mounted at the rear axle, which gives it an almost even weight balance. It is liked for that balance and for its practical rear hatch. Flared wheel arches set its body apart from the 924 that came before it. This 1983 car is finished in Blue with a Beige interior, a soft pairing that suits the clean 1980s lines. It seats three, and the hatch gives a camera bag or a rail of clothes somewhere to travel. Advertising and fashion and editorial photographers get wide arches and a coupé profile that give the car shape in a frame. Film, TV and music video work set in the 1980s gains a period Porsche without fuss. Events can use it for informal arrivals, and it also suits weddings and personal hires. The car is based in Chester, Cheshire.
