1959 Morris Minor | Farncombe, Surrey

A 1959 Morris Minor 1000 saloon, the small British family car remembered for its roomy cabin, approachable handling and rounded, friendly shape. The 1000 is the version with the curved one-piece windscreen, which replaced the split screen of earlier Minors. This car is Beige with a Maroon interior, a soft period pairing that reads well in colour and in black and white. It is in excellent condition and seats four, with an upright cabin that keeps the people inside easy to see through the glass. Its compact, rounded body suits film and TV work set in the 1950s and early 1960s, period advertising, photography and editorial shoots, where the beige paintwork stands out against brick walls and village streets. At events it adds a gentle period note without taking over the scene. It also makes a relaxed choice for a wedding or personal hire. The car is based in Farncombe, Surrey.
