About this vehicle
1954 MG TF | Church Minshull, Cheshire
A 1954 MG TF, the last of the T-type Midgets: a small open two-seat roadster with a raked grille, headlamps set into the wings and a wood-framed body. It is liked for its old-fashioned character and uncomplicated open-top motoring. This one is the TF1500, the larger-engined version. This car is finished in black with beige leather inside, a dinner-jacket contrast that sets off the chrome and the octagonal MG badges. The sweeping wings, bright metalwork and traditional dashboard gauges give a camera plenty of close detail, and the condition is excellent. The low, curving profile suits 1950s film and TV scenes, while the black paint gives photography and fashion and editorial shoots strong contrast against pale backdrops. With the roof down, music videos and advertising get a clear view of the people aboard. It also makes a period arrival for a wedding or a day out. The car is based in Stoke on Trent, Cheshire.
