1972 MG Midget | Oxford, Oxfordshire

The MG Midget is a compact British roadster, a regular in club racing, rallying and hillclimbs. Its small open body and simple layout give it an approachable period character, and this one has a 1275cc engine. This car is red with a blue interior, a bold pairing that holds its own against most backdrops. It is in excellent condition. The body is short and low, so the location stays visible around it, and with the roof down both occupants are clearly in view. Those proportions suit period photography, fashion and editorial shoots, music videos and 1970s-set film and TV, where a vivid colour carries the frame. A wedding arrival or a day out for two works equally well. The car is based in Oxfordshire, five minutes' drive from The Farmers Dog, the pub associated with Jeremy Clarkson.
