About this vehicle
1969 MG B GT | Swanage, Dorset
A 1969 MG B GT, the fixed-roof fastback version of the MGB. It is known for a roofline shaped with help from Pininfarina and a glazed rear hatch, which gave the MGB's sports-car character a more practical coupé shape. This car is cream with a black interior, in excellent condition. The pale body shows off the long sweep of the roof, and the dark cabin makes a sharp contrast whenever a door is open. Its 2912cc engine is larger than the 1,798cc four-cylinder the model usually had, and it gives a deep, full exhaust note. The gearbox is an automatic, where the model normally had a manual, so the car is easy to reposition between setups. It seats two. The fastback roof and period lines suit late-1960s film and television work and period photography. Cream and black give advertising, fashion and editorial shoots a clean two-tone palette, and the closed coupé body makes a tidy display car at events. Weddings and personal hires work well too, with a pale car that photographs nicely on the day. It is based in Swanage, Dorset.
