1989 Mercedes-Benz W124 260E | Ilkeston, Derbyshire

A 1989 Mercedes-Benz W124 260E, the six-cylinder executive saloon known for a refined ride and understated, clean-lined styling. The 260E uses a smaller version of the straight-six engine family that also powered the 300E. It was built for smooth, quiet travel rather than show. This car is Green with a Beige interior, a calm, sober pairing that suits the W124's upright shape. Its straight sides and squared-off proportions give a tidy profile in shot, and the light cabin gives interior frames a bright, open feel. The 2.6-litre petrol engine gives it the relaxed, composed character of a late-1980s business saloon. Film and TV productions can use it as a period executive car, a role its styling fits well. Advertising and photography work benefit from its neat lines and muted colour, while events and fashion shoots gain a formal, business-class presence. For weddings and personal hires, it offers a quietly elegant arrival. The car is based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
