1993 Mercedes-Benz 320CE AMG Pre Merger ‘Hammer’ | Tonbridge, Kent

A 1993 Mercedes-Benz 320CE, the pillarless C124 coupé known for its clean side profile and a roofline lower than the saloon's. With the windows down, the side opens into one uninterrupted sweep that shows the cabin well. It carries the AMG Pre Merger ‘Hammer’ name, from the years before AMG joined forces with Mercedes-Benz. This car is Blue with a Cream interior, a soft pairing that reads warmly on camera, and it is in excellent condition. Its 3.2-litre petrol engine sits in a smooth, low-slung coupé body. The open side profile and light cabin suit photography, fashion and editorial shoots, and 1990s-set film and TV, where the shape places the period at once. Its calm, grown-up look also works for advertising and for arrivals at events. A wedding or a milestone day out is a fitting use too. The car is based in Tonbridge, Kent.
