2005 Maserati 4200 | London

A 2005 Maserati 4200 Coupé, the long-bonnet Italian grand tourer with a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8. Its engine is closely related to one used by Ferrari, yet the car is liked for understated luxury rather than show. It is a relaxed, well-finished way to cover ground. This car is silver with black leather, a restrained pairing that leaves the location or the action to take the frame. Its clean, sculpted lines photograph calmly, and it is in excellent condition. It seats four, and the automatic gearbox keeps the driving easy. When the V8 is asked for, the exhaust note is distinctly Italian. Film, TV and stills work suit it for characters of established wealth, good taste and a discreet manner, and its low, smooth body sits as comfortably against city streets as country lanes. Advertising and editorial shoots gain a subtle car that never overpowers the clothes or the product. It also makes a polished choice for a wedding or a special day out. The car is based in London.
