1973 Land Rover Series 3 | Coventry, Warwickshire

This is a Land Rover Series 3, the third generation of the separate-chassis, aluminium-panelled working Land Rover. The model is known for its upright, practical shape, selectable four-wheel drive and a moulded plastic dashboard that put the instruments in front of the driver. This car is finished in deep blue with a black interior, a pairing that stands out against green fields and stone walls. It seats seven, so a whole group can travel together, and it is in good condition. The 2.25-litre petrol engine gives a hands-on, mechanical drive. The 1970s working look suits period film and TV scenes, rural advertising and events on country estates. The blue against black gives fashion and lifestyle photographers a strong colour palette. Rustic-themed weddings and group outings suit it too. The car is based in Coventry, Warwickshire.
