1995 Ford Mondeo | Oxford, Oxfordshire

A 1995 Ford Mondeo, from the first generation of Ford's mid-size family car. It was named European Car of the Year for 1994 and is remembered for sure-footed handling. In 1996 it gave British politics the phrase Mondeo Man. This car is Maroon with a Beige interior, a soft pairing that sits squarely in the mid-1990s. It runs on a 1.8-litre diesel engine, and its condition is very good. Its ordinary, well-kept look suits film and TV scenes set in the 1990s, where an everyday family car makes a street or driveway convincing. Photographers and stylists get a muted Maroon and Beige palette for editorial work, and music video and advertising shoots gain a credible period background vehicle. For a wedding or a personal hire it is a modest, nostalgic choice. The car is based in Oxford, Oxfordshire.
