About this vehicle
1972 Ford Cortina Mark 3 GXL | London, Essex
The Ford Cortina Mark 3 GXL is the luxury version of Ford's early-1970s family saloon. It is known for its American-influenced coke-bottle body, four round headlamps, vinyl roof and wood-effect dashboard, all of which set it apart from the sportier GT. This car was built in late 1972 and is red with a black interior, in excellent condition inside and out. The cabin has been newly fitted to the original pattern. It has a busy record for a Cortina: displayed at numerous shows, used in film shoots, TV adverts and promotional events, and pictured on the cover of a classic-car title sold nationally. The sculpted body and period cabin give film and TV, advertising and photography a clear early-1970s setting, and the red paint reads strongly on camera. Events and promotional work suit its show-ready finish. Weddings, birthdays and prom nights are covered too. The car is based in London and Essex.
