About this vehicle
1987 Ford Capri (MK3) | Sowerby, North Yorkshire
The Ford Capri Mk3 is the final form of Ford's rear-wheel-drive fastback coupé, with a slatted black grille and quad headlamps. It is remembered as the sporting Ford of the late 1970s and 1980s. Bodie and Doyle drove Mk3 Capris in The Professionals. This 1987 car is White with a grey interior, in excellent condition, and the cabin has been well preserved and seats four. Under the long bonnet is a 2800cc engine, and a rear spoiler finishes the sloping tail. It is a mechanical, hands-on car to drive. The long, low fastback shape suits 1980s-set film and TV, music videos and period adverts, where the quad-headlamp nose places the decade at once. White paintwork gives photographers and fashion editors a clean, bright subject against city streets or open countryside. At events the face of the car gives guests something to look at. Weddings and personal hires get a retro coupé with plenty of character. The car is based in York, North Yorkshire.
